I have Apollo 1025 4-stage spray system (turbine with spray gun). Now I am thinking to buy extra gun so I can have two gun loaded with different products simultaneously. I understand how to chose the gun for compressors, but not for turbines. Are they completely different? Or the same gun used with compressor can be used with turbine? I'd appreciate any guideline.
I know that I can buy the same gun I already have, but it's pretty expensive and I do not need that high quality for the applications I have in mind.

I expect others will work, but being used to that gun, I doubt you are going to be really happy with a lesser gun. Also, having controls that work a bit differently may be a distraction, too.

Completely different.

Not quite simultaneous, but how about converting the existing cup in the Apollo gun to 3M PPS system? I Have the PPS on my CAT Technology conversion gun, clean up and switching product is about as easy as one could hope for using one gun.

Yes, I already have 3m PPS system and know what you are talking about, but I still need to clean the gun before switching to other product.

Hey, Yuri,

One turbine HVLP gun that's sold by several manufacturers (made in an off-shore factory) with their lower-end turbines, is this one (https://ardec.ca/en/p/683/m-modeltm-7002g-hvlp-turbine-gravity-spray-gun), which as you can see sells for $249 here in Canada. That's roughly $180 US dollars. I've tried it out and was quite impressed with its performance and would recommend it as a decent second spray gun.

Good luck with your search and let us know what you eventually decided to get.

Cheers from Canada!

Marty
