I guess I was just inspired by all the stories of taking a heap of rust from a cornfield somewhere and turning it into a world-class machine...decided to take a whack at it myself. Truly amazing what some polish and a bunch of elbow grease will accomplish.

i`m really impressed too! but i wanna know why you need a bbq when you have a laser? :)The laser people want $800 for the rotary attachment: way too much outlay just to cook hotdogs.:p

Lee - Looks an awful lot like a mini bowl blank kiln.

Lee - Looks an awful lot like a mini bowl blank kiln.Could be. But since I've never turned before, I suspect my first bowls would end up getting sacrificed in this thing.

Of course, before I do that, I'll have to actually buy a lathe. Hey, hang on, this thing has a rotisserie option: maybe if I turn the speed up real high...

Whoa. That mental image is gonna stay with me awhile. :p

/ Slightly jealous, because I have a great-looking 4-burner Brinkman stainless steel grill, and the heat is so uneven it's pitiful. The Char-Broil is supposed to be a good grill. You're still suspected of evidence tampering, though...:D
