Many of these places were still there during my youth when a buck could get you on the bus in to SF and on the SF bus system and back. Playland was still there when we were old enough to drive over.
If you have ever had an It's It ice cream treat, you have enjoyed a piece of Playland at the Beach. The It's It was first made and sold there.
For those who do not know, an It's It is a scoop of ice cream between two oatmeal cookies and dipped in chocolate and nuts, yummmm.
