The instruction manual for the Makita XDS01Z saw ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L8O0C90/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) says that three connected break-away utility knife blades can be used in the saw instead of the proprietary saw blade. Has any Creeker tried this?

Hitachi years ago had what they called an electric knife (I think that was what it was called). It took standard utility knife blades and was the best tool I ever found for cutting out drywall. I would think this Makita saw would work equally as well.

XDS01 is fantastic for cutting drywall without a mess. As long as you don't need small circles.

Their special blade works a dream and lasts a long time.
