Did your planer not come with a rubber infeed roller? Why would the infeed roller matter if the surface is about to hit the cutterhead and be planed off? I am about to convert my outfeed roller to rubber on my Bridgewood BW15p but I believe the only option is the one made by Grizzly for their older 1021.

My infeed roller was leaving marks just like all serrated heads do, unless you take a deep enough cut they still show. Now I don't have to worry about the depth of cut I can take.
Outfeed rollers are all typically solid I think.

Please let us know how you made the roller or where you got it.

I took the serrated roller out and had the machinist at work make me a new roller/shaft with out the serrated part.
I contacted J&J Short assoc. and they rubberized the roller for me. Great company to deal with.
I installed the new rubberized roller and it works great. No more roller marks even with light passes.

And for you folks with the ubiquitous Grizzly 15" machines, they sell a rubberized outfeed roller which apparently finally comes standard on some 15" machines. When I bought my G0453Z replacement they were about $80. Took about 30 minutes. The 1021 roller is a bit more for whatever reason.
