As post title says I have a r45101 that is grinding and making a smell on startup, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn’t. I have had the saw apart and replaced the bearings (they were getting very bad), but the saw still makes the noise and smell. I had the arbour shaft assembly out and inspected the reduction gear as well as the gear on the end of the armature, all looks to be ok. I am wondering if it could be the start capacitor? I have no idea where to find the capacitor on this table saw nor what the symptoms are of one failing. I have a video of the sound, can I post it on here? I have the video posted on Reddit and can link it if I am allowed to do so. Any help would seriously be appreciated!
