G'day -

Does anyone have leads on where to find "4-section" heavy-duty drawer slides that have ample over-travel? The ones I've found so far have only 1" of over travel, and are what I'd call "3-section".

What I've found is like this one (https://www.knapeandvogt.com/sites/default/files/OL2985-8815-SellSheet-WEB.pdf), or this one (https://catalog.generaldevices.com/Asset/LBS-22.pdf).

But I'm inspired by this one (https://www.outsidevan.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Elevate_OutsideVan_MercedesBenz_Sprinter_R2A9412.j pg), what I'm calling "4-section" with lots of over-travel. I could always DIY bolt together two normal slides to achieve this result, but off-the shelf would be way better. My design would enjoy 3" - 6" of over-travel. It will need to hold some weight in the extended position (not while moving). Or maybe you see something completely different in the photo, but that's my goal.

Thanks much! - Ralph in Colorado

There are extension slides for dining tables which have more than three sections. For instance, on this page -- https://www.tablelegs.com/standard-table-slides-pair/ -- if you select the 26/52 model, you see a five-section slide. And on this page, if you fish around a bit you can see a a slide with 12 sections -- https://www.poettker.com/en/products/table-slides/table-slides-details/classic.html Neither of these examples is exactly like the pic you posted. But if you search around table slides you may find something for your application.

And seven sections --- https://www.leevalley.com/en-gb/shop/hardware/slides/side-mount/110023-surface-extension-slides?item=17K1802
