Thomas Constantine made senate desks - became Constantines

I got curious about the senate desks and whether those gray vessels are really inkwells (they are) so I looked up the desks. I learned that they were made by a Thomas Constantine. The article said that Constantines is still in business.

I remember seeing the Constantines catalog when I was a kid. I never realized the long history behind the company.
