I downloaded these plans.

I think I will build two of them using white oak lumber.

I haven't built one of these yet, but you might want to take a look at a few different Adirondack chair designs with a curved back - probably a lot more comfortable and maybe a bit better looking for that beautiful oak - https://www.popularwoodworking.com/adirondack-chair-plans/ is a link to one of Norm Abrams' Adirondack chair designs. Just an alternative design idea.

Here's another that I've been sitting on, no pun intended. https://www.jakeschair.com/

I've made a few that we've had for years, but the plan is not ideal. I'd like to try a better design one of these days. I would avoid a plan with a flat seat, I don't think it will be very comfortable.

I like these the best...

Richard - that looks like a really nice design. Converting the plans from that ever-so-confounding metric system to something that makes sense to my old-fashioned brain might be a bit of a challenge, but some quality time with paper, pencil, a calculator, and a conversion chart, might make it feasible. Thanks for sharing this!

I bought the Rocker or Wood Craft patterns and then used them to make new templates out of baltic birch. The patterns I received were "good" but I wasn't confident I could use them multiple times without breaking etc. The chairs I built are comfortable. I used 5/4 QSWO for the legs and 4/4 for everything else.
