This piece is made from Teak (the claw) and Sapele (the egg & hatchling) The Egg was turned then the claw & Hatchling were mostly hand carved I did use the Dremel on parts of the claw (for speedy removal of large sections) The finish is Danish Oil and the project finished a 7" x 8 1/2" tall.

Exceptionally well done! Is the egg completely hollowed? Or is the egg and hatchling one piece? Just curious.

Beautiful! Turning, carving, and STORY! I don't say this often but I'd love to see that one in person.

Wow, that's next level (many next levels). That takes skills and inspiration far beyond those I'd even dare to aspire to.

Thank you John and Dave very nice of you to say, John I would say you might see it in a show, but with this pandemic I think it will be two years before we have any that I will go to.

Just pack it up and send it my way. I could make space in my display cabinet. Just think, that would save you the arduous effort of storing it until showtime! :)
