Recent request for pairs of skews chisels has prompted this post. Also have made an awl with removable blade feature in resin infused cherry color aged with a lye solution.
The chisels are skewed at 18 degrees and have 3/8" wide blades, Resin infused curly maple for the handles and the same configuration as the Dovey Chisels.

They look beautiful.
Do you make your own ferrules?

Yes, I make the ferrules in house on my 1945 Southbend Lathe.

Awesome work Ron! I don’t know which I like better, the chisels or the awl!

Ron those are absolutely beautiful! Congratulations – well done!
Although maybe not included on standard list of “beginning hand tool kit”, to my mind skew chisels are absolutely essential. If you’re making half blind dovetails you really need them and yours would obviously be excellent choice.
Best, Mike
