I have no connection with them except I am an old customer.

If you need some special wood, they probably will have something you like.

Clifford, Following the link John left, then clicking on the ipe page did show a price per foot. You may just need to look a little further.

Another lumber supplier used to have a minimum order for mail order > https://www.gilmerwood.com < it looks like they now have no minimum.

My purchases from them have all been by walk in when we are visiting Portland.

Another store to visit in Portland > http://www.crosscuthardwoods.com < has lightened my wallet on many occasions.

Thanks Jim. That works for ipe. I was hoping to find prices on some of the softwoods, particularly the ponderosa pine.

Looking at the ponderosa pine page >https://www.clarkshardwood.com/ponderosa-pine-lumber/ < a couple things come to mind. Three grades and five sizes are listed. It may be the prices change too often to post. Lumber is a commodity that can be time sensitive due to the way mills and shipping operate. Some lumbers, especially when used in construction, can be quite volatile when it comes to pricing. When the current pandemic first hit prices for firs & pines jumped. My shop stash all of sudden was worth a few hundred dollars more.

There is a phone number and email listed on the site. If you do get a price quote you might ask how long the quote will be honored. In other words if 1X12 clear is quoted at $3 per linear foot, don't expect the price to be the same a few weeks from now. Don't be surprised if a quote is only good for the day it was given.
