Cool, sounds like a future tool buyer for sure. Hope someone nearby can give him some safety lessons and better wood to use.

Are you thinking of Jimmy Carter? As far as I know he is still volunteering with Habitat for Humanity building homes.

Jimmy Carter and Sam Maloof appear on the cover of Woodworker's Journal, Jan/Feb 2006. The former president owns numerous Maloof products. A mutual admiration article appears within.

BTW, I built a version of the G&G dresser (p. 38) from the edition. Lesson learned: don't make large drawers that deep.:)
