Silicone/Securing Table Top

I built sideboard using construction grade lumber that I distressed to make it look like reclaimed barn wood. Happy the way it turned out but the thing weighs a ton. I plan on using wooden table clips to fasten the top but my concern is if someone tries to move the sideboard by pulling on the top, the top may rip out the screws. I thought of also putting a bead of silicone around the perimeter to add additional strength.

Thoughts appreciated.

I would use metal clips every 8 inches with the longest screws that fit. The caulk might work but if it comes loose during a move it’s a safety issue. I have an extremely heavy buffet I built that has many biscuits holding the top on the perimeter and two dividers. I told the movers to not carry it by the top and turned around and saw them going up stairs holding it by the top. It held.
