Edge Banded Plywood

I am relatively new to wood working but have completed several projects in my 120 sq. ft. workshop. My next project is to build pull out shelves for our kitchen cabinets. I want to vary the side height, so what are your thoughts on the durability of edge banded plywood?

Most commercial kitchen installations use edge banded material... ;) If the edge band is done correctly, it will be fine. If you want more durability that a veneeer thickness can't provide, there are solid wood banding methods and router tooling you can use that permit you to securely glue a more substantial piece of solid stock to the plywood to serve the need.
