Good deal on a Laguna Bandsaw LT16 FS???

Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal and what I should look out for if I go look at it? Maybe a lower counter offer?

I was born and raised in the city where it is located and it's only a 2 hour drive from me now. I don't know anything about the Laguna brand except what I hear from the few members that have them. This just happened to come up and I would buy the new G0514X if I didn't get this one. Any opinions onn the two?

I have an LT-18 of the same vintage as the one you are considering. IMO, the price is very very good. Even if you need to make some repairs, it is a good price.

The Laguna band saw is a very good unit. If this saw is indeed in great shape, then it would be a really good deal in my opinion. The 16 inch would do just about anything you could ask for.

If the price is reasonable( as compared to the cost of a new one) then I would suggest you go for it. I have had a LT18 since August '01 and it has performed flawlessly. Real heavy beast. And if you get it, consider one of the Resaw King blades for it. This blade, with the power of the Laguna, will cut through 16/4 maple like a hot knife cutting butter. Sweet.
And put the Grizzly on the back burner.
