What is an LSB saw blade?

The title kinda says it all, I've seen adds for them but they don't really explain what theer are.

I think it's something like Laser Saw Blade, or laser slot blade. It's a Freud thing for vibration dampening. I can't find the answer with Google.

I scoured the Freud website and they have a number of blades with lsb as part of their stock number but no explanation. They all have the laser cut expansion slots so I’d go with Richards explanation.

Yes, I saw that too.

I suspect everyone else is correct, something Freud's marketing for their panel cutting blades, though the add I saw mentioned all types of wood and composites, it also mentioned 'other' LSB blades (the add was for LSBX the other must be their other blades).

Dug deeper, look at pages 56-59 of their "General Products Catalog", the LSB series is their panel sizing blade for use in horizontal beam saws. Specifically "to size single or multiple panels, on horizontal panel sizing machines with scorer, features triple chip grind with positive cutting angle, for cutting chipboard or MDF laminated with melamine or plastic materials. There are about 130 distinct blade options in this series. There is an LSB X series that is a coated blade and TiCo carbide that they market for 2x the life of the standard LSB series.

It has nothing to do with laser expansion slots.
