I just wanted to share my pride and joy. It is a 1965 chevelle ss. It has a small block 400 bored over to make it a 406. It was dynoed at 490hp. It also has air ride suspension, 18" wheels in the front and 20" wheels in the back. It is ALOT of fun to drive. :D

Sweet looking Chevelles guys. Really nice. My first car was a 66 Chevelle. Was always crazy about El Caminos too...same difference, mostly...starting in 65 the El Camino was built on the Chevelle chassis, I think...somewhere around that time...

The El Camino was based on the Chevelle wagon from '64 - '83.
Here's my '72 shop truck. It's a 350/330 HP:

mine ain`t as pretty as the others posted here! the 56 is my daily driver, bone stock 235 1bbl 3 on the tree foot start power nothing! the wifes 39 is getting a new motor, 235 w/goodies otherwise stock. and the 48 belongs to our 13yo girl who`s putting it together for her 16th.( she`s got the hood sanded and started pulling apart the front) she will do all the work! as you can see i have plenty on my plate.

I used to be into Mustangs. Here is my last one. I sold it about 5 years ago and put the money into woodworking equipment.

Tod, those are all 3 way cool! Over the next 3 years keep us posted on your daughter's progress. I looked for a '48-'53 a while back and they were all way too high priced, around here no barn finds. Bet none of yours suck up the gas like most of ours do.

I love the color red. Can't wait for warmer weather to return back to New York state and I can get my little baby out of winter storage.

Wow. Lot of you have nice cars. There is something about an older car. I don't know if it is the look, the sound of the motor, the look on other peoples faces when you drive up, and the best part, the simplicity of the inside the car. Maybe it is just the whole thing:D .
