salt & pepper mills - just something to look at

My first Salt and Pepper Mills. Salt is spalted maple. pepper is walnut. They are about 10" tall.

Nicely done and a good idea.

I just bought a pair of salt/pepper mill kits and planned to do a set. I was thinking of using the same wood, cutting a thin groove or two in each and filling the grooves with black and white paint or epoxy. After seeing yours I think I'll use some hickory heart wood for pepper and maple for the salt mill.
