I'm looking to replace my DP chuck and was wondering if anyone had any opinion on this one from Llambrich.

Or on the quality of Llambrich in general.

Jacobs are more expensive and I'm looking for a reasonable alternative without going too cheap.

The one which is on the machine now is pictured here

A couple years ago I thought it was time to replace mine but first I tried loosening it up with some oil. Worked great. Still using it.

I would look at keyless chucks. I have one (J-33 taper) that I bought from Woodcraft about ten years ago. Best improvement I ever made on a drill press.

I had the same experience with a WD-40/lubricating oil flush. Reseating of the morse taper reduced run-out to .003 inch. I'm glad because most woodworker's drill presses are not high-precision machinery (watch the head gyrate as you crank it up and down) and I envisioned spending $150+ with no discernible improvement.
