There are US Army training manuals for metal cutting lathes, milling machines, etc. I have never heard of one for wood working machines. I wonder if any other English speaking military has such manuals available like Canada or Britain.
They are a good starter reference for new tool owners. I see that Grizzly is reprinting the classic from South Bend Lathes "how to run a lathe." Which is already available as a army training manual online.

Here is a pretty extensive list of Army Training manuals (https://armypubs.army.mil/ProductMaps/PubForm/TM_9.aspx). I saw one for a saw, band, metal cutting......:D

Thanks for the links. The army bandsaw one I have seen is for a grob? metal cutting bandsaw. I did see a video on here about how the dewalt radial am saw won the war.
