I have always cobbled my own together with pretty good success. Well, meaning that things rarely go hurtling across the shop and my fingers stay clear, but I have t-tracks on the Sawstop, 14 BX and the new SS router table and am thinking I may throw some dough at some feather boards and hold downs. What are you using and +’s & -‘s.

For the tablesaw I just picked up the Rockler ones when on sale (https://www.rockler.com/rockler-double-featherboard). I added nuts that would fit the "T" in the miter slots on the tablesaw, RT and bandsaw. The Woodpecker version was all that was around way back when but, I see Woodcraft has some more economical versions now. I use these on the Rocklers but, the Benchdogs have greater reach and are better for the router table for thin stock. Magnetic ones have never been satisfactory for me although I have a few. They get used when the work is light or low-leverage. YMMV.

This is my go to when using it on a castiron table. You can put it pretty much anywhere you want it and it stays.

I bought one of these from Lee Valley recently. It works about as well as a padlock on a jobsite box that merely keeps an honest man honest. Price is right for what it does, though.

No substitute for a made feather board with a strongback but my Bosch 4100 retirement saw lacks wings on which to seat clamps. The table is aluminum so no joy on the magnetics.

OTOH, I don't have a jointer and I'm not "building pianos" so it will do.

I use the Magswitch ones also. They have a large and small one. Depending on where the magnet lines up with the miter slot, I use the appropriate one.

They work very well. I've used them for years. The link is for the larger model:

I use this one too. I have also used it on the jointer.

I use the magswitch on the jointer (against the fence), and the JessEm guides on both the tablesaw and router table.

I got the large Magswitch & after decades of cobbled together feather boards, it's like a breath of fresh air. So easy & quick to set up.

I too use these and I love them. They are pricy and they are worth it, to me.
