Frank Miller Lumber in IN. They call it select or better, but some with knots which is not select, correct? Good value though $5.42/board ft. Local Indianapolis guys want $9.50/board ft.

Hardwood grading is based on the size and number of pieces that can be cut from the board. To meet grade, Sel and Better requires 83.3% of the board have a clear surface. https://www.woodworkerssource.com/hardwood-lumber-grades.html

It is QS and it is a retail price, I am just a hobbyist.

James, I am not a professional woodworker and don't get a discount, that is a retail price for QS white oak,.

Just looked at a few local venders in PA for pricing and I think you did good.


For QS at a retail price I saved over $500 VS my local guys. thanks.

I love QS wood. Oak, beech, cherry, sycamore. Don't get much though my Sawyer has a woodmizer and doesn't do QS
