Paul Erickson asked for pictures of my shootboards for hand working inlay banding, so here goes.

This is a picture of my width planing jig. it just uses a peg to hold the piece from sliding and has a tapered width adjustment feature.

the second picture is of the thickness planing shootboard.

the third picture is of the insides to show how it is adjusted for thickness, by the bottom tapered part sliding to achieve thickness desired.

the fourth picture is what I use to shoot the ends of banding inlay material.

harry, on the first shooting board, what do you do if you are working on a piece of inlay that is narrower than the peg? (wouldn't that happen frequently?) perhaps a long cut out of the tapered piece to form a notch on the end (ie, on the peg end) would work?

Tony, I have never done anything narrower than 1/4 inch so far
