I fumed some oak pieces and was going to glue them up today after taking them out of the cabinet. I put some elmers probond on one piece and stuck it on another and in about 20 seconds it had turned into a rubbery latex-like substance. The oak is still outgassing from the fuming and I'm guessing there was some interaction there but it was very strange. Anyone else ever seen this?
