Tip: Time to clean sunroof drains

With the fall rainy season coming up after all the ash falls it is a good idea to clean the drains around the sunroof on your cars. A weedwacker line works good as a probe along with a mustard bottle full of water to rinse it all away. Mine were 1/2 covered by black gunk.

I have the irregular duty of washing my wife’s van. She’d never think of taking it to a car wash. Drains aren’t a problem.
But if you want to talk about getting rid of the leaves in the wiper wells, and under the hard hood deflector, that’s a job for my new Harley blower-drier.

We had a VW Passat and the sun roof drains plugged up and the rain collected behind the front seat under the carpet where the computer was mounted. Be driving down the road and the windows would go up and down, thought the car was possessed. $3000 later it was fixed, yeah keep those drains cleared
