Well i got bored yesterday and built my first chair from scratch. I had a bunch of 3/4 mdf laying around in my garage so i decided to try something i have never done before. It was fun!:D I don't have a bandsaw "YET";) so i used a jigsaw. I don't have a belt sander combo so i grabed my belt sander and turned it upside down and straped it to a piece of wood and made a little sanding station. Here is some pics. I built this chair within a few hours including designing it. Its not perfect what so ever but it was my first attempt. I think it was more fun trying to be creative than actually building it. So let me know what you think and if there is easier ways to build chairs please let me know. Thanks for looking

Nice job on your first chair...

Using inexpensive materials to build, prototype and and work out designs is really the best way for chairs. The things need to be comfortable and many many factors and adjustments go into them! The finest builders do it that way and the rest of us should emulate them in that respect...
