Hi everyone! Just found this site today.
I am a woodturner by hobby.
I started making goblets, not the spindly afraid to touch because they will break kind. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I wanted to be able to use mine. Some I make are for decoration only, like the little mushrooms I do.
I also started turning bowls, which took a bit to get used to.....ie a bowl gouge a spindle gouge does not make.......
I live a bit north of Indianapolis and I do audio/video work professionally, so if you need some home theater stuff come talk to me! LOL
I have attached a pic of everyones (so far) favorite goblet, it is aromatic cedar and will hold an almost perfect 6oz (luck).

Beautiful goblet! :) I like that kind better than the thin (spindly) base type also.

Welcome aboard, Jeff! There are quite a few folks who share your passion (and addiction :D ) to turning. Your goblets have a great form, too.

Greetings and salutations! Really glad you found us here at the Creek and thanks for such a great startup post! Beautiful work and I'm with you: I like a manly kind of goblet! You know, something a guy can really get his mitts around! (Well, ok, so I've got big hands!) Anyhow, I think you'll like hangin' around here. Lots of great information, a super administration/owner group and a LOT of really great members! Come back often.

The proportions are just right, IMO. Thanks for coming aboard, there is a TON of great information and experience here, I think you will enjoy Sawmill Creek! :D
