Can't see recent posts?

Sometimes when a thread is branched a few times I can't see a post I know I recently submitted. This happens even if I close SMC and return to it later.

I've taken to going into the thread's tree diagram, where I can usually see "more posts below this one," or words to that effect. That's when I can finally locate my post and any replies to it. But why is it hidden when I just scroll through the thread?

That happens in Threaded view for some reason. I would suggest that you might want to try the Linear view setting. Go into your settings at the upper right of the page and then into general settings in the column on the left. Scroll down to Thread Display options and select one of the Linear options. That should let you see all the posts in a thread in sequential order.
