I was playing with a 1/4 X5/8 stick of wood and my miter saw was sitting there. I sawed the stick in halve and made a 3" square.
I cut 45 ends on the two pieces and made a square. I joined the pieces with mounting tape. I now have a small square to use when I need it.

I had backed my F150 truck into a tree and it damaged my bumper tearing the license plate a bit loose. I bought the tape to hold the license plate frame to the bumper. It works. The tape is 1/8 X 3/4 and is very sticky.

I am going to fix that bumper when I get to it.

I've used very few miter saws that cut tool precision joinery. Let along join the two pieces with tape. Don't set it out in the sun! But if it's good enough for you, then enjoy.
