View Full Version : Blue Painter's Tape to Reduce Char -- One Side or Both Sides of the Workpiece?

Howdy. I'm having some success with blue painter's tape reducing char. However, for vector cutting, should I apply it to both sides of the work piece, or just one? And if just one, should it be on the top (which I assume is the right place) or the bottom?

Thank You Very Much,
Scott

I use 4 to 12" width medium tack vinyl application PAPER tape. No overlaps, cover whole item. and it engraves off cleanly. I go up on power about 5% when I use it.

John, thanks. That lines up with my understanding.
