Hi all,

I just finished building a router table with Jessem components. I am looking at buying a collet extension (1/2") to use with some bits. CMT, Trend, and MCLS are a few of the names out there. I was wondering if anyone has used the following products and if you have any comments.

I am concerned about stress to the router and runout.

Thanks in advance.

Jay

I, too, would be concerned. I have had the M12V in a number of tables and it gets as close to the table height as can be had. Try it without the extension, You might find that you do not need one. If you do, I like the one that is available from The Craftsmen Gallery. I use that with the Dewalt 625 on the WoodRat. But I only spin narrow straight bits...not panel raising wide bits. When you install any bit in the M12V, leave about 1/4" of the bottom of the router collet.

I have a M12V in my router table also. I have it in a woodpeckers plungelift never found the need to have an extension.

I also have a M12V in my tabel and don't see the need. Besides, they scare me.
