I have just assembled my new PM 3520C lathe. It is replacing my Woodfast short-bed lathe. I had the Woodfast lathe oriented 90-degrees from the wall, with just enough room between the wall and the headstock for me to use the knockout bar. Given the small size of my shop, the new lathe cannot have the same orientation. It's going to be parallel to the wall. Question: How close to the wall can it go?

I have a tailstock swing away on backorder. If it were here, I could easily tell how much room it will need to function. As it is, I can only guess. Hence, the question.

You need about 25" from the back of the bed ways, assuming it's the same between my 3520B and your 3520C. Here's a couple of pics, hope they help. There's a bit of parralax, in addition to my big feet, but the measurement is right at 24".
