This was my woodworking project yesterday.
i turned this from a piece of oak and added the holes to make an end effector for my robot at work to perform some studies on a PET/CT to be ultimately used on a MR/PET.

And to think I was a futuristic guy back in the day when I did nuke-med studies with a rectilinear scanner AND had to develop my own
images by hand! Stinky developer/fixer tanks.
So, what's the finish?

Hi Bruce,
I think PET and SPECT have taken the place of rectilinear scans. I also do a little with SPECT as well but my primary area is PET based systems. That's been a bit.
I wasn't sure what you're asking about the finish. If it's the finish on the oak piece - there is none. It is serving as a holder for some radioactive rod sources to perform some studies with.
