I'm new to the SMC but I was hoping I could pick your brains. I got these four planes from my stepfather who was clearing out his basement. I'm curious to find out about how old they are.

I know that one is a Stanley Bailey #4 Plane made in England. From what I've been able to gather, its a Type 16 or so but that's a guess. I can't seem to find a lot about the Made in England models.
I also know that one is a Stanley #90 Bull Nose Rabbet Plane but I have no idea about when it was made.
The other two are more of a mystery. The largest is a Defiance plane and the only markings on the little block plane is a "Japan" stamp on the cutter.
I've got some more, bigger, detailed photos here: http://www.tomandjaime.com/woodworking_photos/
Anybody have any insight into these? Its more out of curiosity than anything else. I plan to clean them up and use them.
On that note, can anyone point me in the direction of some good how-to sites for cleaning up old planes?
