My general purpose saw blade is a 10-inch Freud Industrial 50T combination blade. A couple of weeks ago, in a short quarantine project, I missed three drywall screws in a piece I was recycling and cut them. A few sparks when sawing prepared my spirit for the worst.

Surprise! I couldn't find any marks in the teeth. Even with a magnifying lens. Wow!

Hats off to Freud!

Hand feeding likely saved you. Good for you. Drywall screws are a bear. If you were really shoving I'd guess it'd be roached. I've had the misfortune of a light collision with a brand new Freud rip a few times and it always comes at the cost of an entire tooth.

Drywall screws are also pretty brittle which likely helped in this situation but is the reason they are not the best to use for woodworking projects, too. 'Glad your blade survived!

Extremely lucky.

I removed 4 teeth entirely and nicked 5 others on a Fusion when trimming a cabinet door that had a micro pin in it. Barely kissed it and I only realized because of the sound it made.
