Well, I am one for trying new things, and if I had access to that type of set up, I would probably have tried it at least once. Just an interesting concept. I wonder how it would have worked on hard maple...

Sort of reminds me of the time when scissor lifts were used on construction sites to improve productivity. Workers would use them to tow their roller scaffolds.
