If I make a website using Frontpage and it works with IE should it work automatically with Firefox? If not what would need to be changed so that it does work?

It depends upon what features you use in FrontPage...some are IE specific. That's one of the issues with FP...it "prefers" to build for IE, although the current version is better in that respect as I believe (it's been awhile since I used it) that it will allow you to set preferences to keep things "standard" for the most part. Most web designers use other tools that are more universal in browser support.

Most of the features in IE are in the newer version of Firefox ... so I suspect Microsoft will quickly change IE and FrontPage to incorporate new features it doesn't include ... and Microsoft will give those features away to maintain their monopoly. (Its eroding ... my websites are now visited by Firefox browsers at a rate of 12 - 15% of the total users ... up from 4% just a couple of years ago).

Its easy to test for this ... just download Firefox and preview the HTML page with it. Firefox and IE will co-exist on the same machine without any problem (at least until Microsoft changes IE!)

Some components from Microsoft may not work in FireFox. ActiveX is not universally supported (and for good security reasons).

I found this site that might be helpful: http://www.techsupportalert.com/firefox.htm
