I like to do shaker style woodwork, so I made this cabinet for my shop.

c'mon Man! Pull those drawers and let's see what joinery you used... More pics please. I love these kinds of projects.

Very nice, Harry, and very, very Shaker!

There are several Shaker enthusiasts at SMC, and I am looking forward to more Shaker posts from you.

Harry....very good job. If I had those in my shop...they'd last about 10 seconds after my wife saw them. I can see her 5'2" frame trying to drag/lift those into the house!

Ok. Paul, the back and the partition are dovetailed in and the bottom slides in in a groove.

Almost all the wood used in its construction is salvage lumber, notice the nail holes in the exposed dovetails.

And Ken, my first wife did appropriate it for her buttons shortly before she passed in 2004. I have now reapropriated it back.

Very nice cabinet Harry!

I especially like the progression of drawer sizes.

Great job Harry,
Alas, if it were in my shop it would last about 2 minutes and my wife would have me packing it into the house. What a wonderful recycling operation, with such a fine result.

Harry, that's great! Not only does it "do the job" and have that wonderful Shaker style, but it looks like it's been in the shop for ages, too...it just feels right. Hmm...might have to do something like that!

Like I don't have enough projects ..... I have been wondering how to store screws and nails. Now I want to build one of these.

Very nice cabinet. And you get to touch something your wife touched every time you use it. Maybe you should have left a few of her buttons in it.
