Dining room table finish

Is there any problems using a water based poly to finish a dining room table?

Modern waterborne finishes are very good compared to years ago. But there are many to choose from and some are better for table tops than others. There are quite a few discussions about this here in the finishing forum. I'm not a fan of waterborne products from the big box stores for this kind of thing, however. I generally use something like Target Coatings EM8000cv on table tops. General Finishes has some excellent products, too, that are often mentioned here.
