I have had luck drying green bowl blanks with denatured alcohol in the past, but generally I rough turn a bowl before doing it. This time I have a 4x4x4 piece that I plan to use as a 3 part lidded container with roto hinges. I am worried that rough turning it will not leave me enough stock to level everything off, etc after I have to re-turn it... I've rounded out the blank but I was hoping to use dna to dry it before I hollow it. Has anyone tried this?
