Hello! This is my first attempt at making bread board ends and I have a question. So I glued up a a 33" x 65" table top from six lengths of 5/4"x6" cherry stock. I also have 3 1/2" breadboard ends mortised and dry fit on 2 inch deep tenons which run the width of each end. Is it okay to drive my center dowel pin through the glue seam of the two middle boards? Where should I apply glue? Or should I just treat the piece as one large panel and not worry about the glue seams?

Thanks!

I tend to deal with a glued up panel as a solid piece. We've all seen the glue strength tests ;-) If the dowel was going to be from underneath and not show through the top I might move just off the line for no reason other than that's the way I am :o.
