I have thought it would be a wise thing to somehow in an out of site area on projects to indicate what the project is finished with. What do you think? Thanks.

Makes sense to me Bart, as long as the piece has a good place to hide it. I don't know if a small box would have enough real estate (inless you wrote on the inside bottom, before inerting the bottom liner), but on a dresser or other piece of furniture it seems like a good idea to me.

I agree. A lot of folks write the wood type next to their signature...even though the woodtype is usually very apparent. The finish may degrade over time so it would be nice to reflect back.
