Got tired of how this old router plane was looking..

Not much better than when I brought it home....Stanley Nickle Plated these planes when they came out of the factory, brand new..so..

About as close as I can get to "Nickle Plated"...Even the collar..

I also shined up the Brass nuts, and then re-assembled the plane. No, I did NOT do the sole of this plane...figure enough work will keep the sole shiny enough..

You get the best shine on Brass nuts, if it's done in private. Otherwise, somebody will always walk in.

The Stanley #45 is starting to show quite a bit of copper.....may try to chrome it....once the wood parts are all masked off...?

Paint is sold by Rustoleum. Called American Accents....2X Ultra Cover, Paint +Primer....Metallic Silver. used the stuff on the handles of my computer desk...since they were cleaned up rust buckets...so far, they have stayed ..silver.

We'll see how things are going, this week....may have a job for the 45 to do.....and maybe the 71-1/2 as well..
