Folding Bed

Hello people, hope you're having a wonderful apocalypse!

Have any of you built a fold up bed. Long term idea I have : ) Would love to see some inspiration. Since this would be a cabinetry project, I'd have some things to learn.

I've built four Murphy beds. Use Create-a-Bed's hardware kit. It is available directly from them, and from retailers like Lee Valley and Woodcraft. It is a big job, but straightforward with that kit.

I built a Murphy bed using a hardware kit that Lee Valley used to sell. It uses gas struts for counter balancing. It was a fair bit of work, but works very well.
