Occasionally I would like one classical scroll saw to make some small stuff or a template guide. A good size dedicated tool is expensive and takes a lot of space.
I decided to go for a cheap and small solution: I used my trim router and prepared a small support, using scrap wood and a small piece of plexiglass I was going to trash, to use it as a scroll saw in my workbench. It was my Sunday afternoon project for these quarantine times. It worked.
I used 1/8" straight router bit common for CNC machines. It is more practical than my "standard" router table (bench top design).
