Has any of you fella ever mated a hold-down clamp to a welders magnetic ground block???? (seen these in the HARBOR FREIGHT FLIER lot #30754) Also seen some other magnets in their catalogs that might work.
Or am I just trying to make something that has been done did?? HI HI
I am in the process of routing some wood for splines and I have a steel door that I am using to work on and just need something to hold the material from moving. the one good reason for the magnetic clamp setup is that it can be placed anywhere on the "table".
I have seen "magnetic" drill presses that are using in machine shop work.
Any ideas from the gang???
