I was looking on line and saw a Popular Woodworking wooden square and thought I need to make one.

Then I remembered that I have all ready made one. I went to the shop and it is hanging there.
I bet I'm the only one that does stuff like this.

No, sometimes when out shopping we see a DVD we would like, only to get home and find out we already bought it a few months earlier.

Not exactly the same, but similar.
