Today l show you how i made a easter Vase out of apple tree wood


il use a wooden wedge the stop the big crack


I sanded it up to 500 grit, then i used woodturner oil for the finish


High: 38cm
Diameter: 28cm
Thickness: 7-9mm

Nice piece. Love the shape. I have some apple drying and can't wait to turn it. It is beautiful wood, for sure.

What is that articulated cutter used on your hollowing bar?

Do you determine thickness with just tapping on the piece?

The grain in that piece is something else! At first glance, I thought it was a glue up of a bunch of different pieces from difference species. Nope, that's just how the tree grew. Nice job on the low luster finish!

Thank you for your comment, the cuter is from Ändu from Switzerland, this you only can buy with a 2 days course, taping makes different notices, but in close to the end to be save il use a tool determines the Thickness
