On the bottom of my computer screen? I can click it and and a keyboard appears.

What is it's use? Just wondering. It says it is a touch keyboard.

Can't see yours, but I believe it is for use with a touchscreen or to 'type' using a pointing device (mouse or stylus).

It's mostly for use with tablet style devices with touchscreens but no real keyboard. But it will work with a touchscreen monitor or a laptop with touchscreen. Or the 2 in 1 laptops that let you fold the real keyboard back under the screen so you can use the device like a tablet.

It would help to know what computer you're using.

On mine, an iMac, the 'Keyboard Viewer' allows the user to see what characters are created by holding down the shift key, option key or option + shift key.

Lowell, do you have kids or grandkids that you could call to answer these types of questions? It’s be a lot easier than trying to get the question across to a woodworking forum.

Or google it first.
